An OTG cable, known also as USB On-the-Go, allows compatible micro USB devices to act as a host, allowing USB devices like flash drvies, digital cameras, mouse, or keyboard to be attached to them.
Not all devices with a micro USB port are compatible with an OTG cable. How to know if your device is compatible? Go to the Google Store and download USB Host Diagnostics.
Follow the instructions on the app and you will obtain a report.
If device claims support and device detected are YES, then your device support OTG connectivity.
MOTO X PHONE HAVE SUPPORT (ANDROID KITKAT 4.4.2) - BUT THE CABLE DOESN'T WORK?
You bought an OTG cable from our store or other seller and the cable seems to be not working. Before concluding the cable is defective, check the following:
First of all, make sure you have update KitKat 4.4.2 (latest update/) Before update 4.4.x you had to use a third-party application like Nexus Media Importer (not free) or rooting the device (free).
If you have update 4.4.2, you can connect the OTG cable and go to Settings>Storage and click on "Mount USB Storage". Also, you can use ES File Explorer File Manager. I leave you a link for your convenience:
After trying everything above, with KitKat 4.4.2 is suppose to work.
BUT IT STILL DON'T WORK!
If not, then the cable may be defective. To prove this you can use an OTG troubleshoot software:
Using the software you need the OTG cable and a flash drive. Connect the OTG + flash drive into the Moto X phone and you must obtain four green check marks (as above) after checking the OTG cable. If not, then the cable is at fault.
Buy OTG Cables at our eBay store.
